FLEETING EFFORT

Canon EOS REBEL XS, Promaster 19-35 lens @ 25mm, ISO 100, f/14, 1.6 sec.
One of the great things about exploring fast moving streams and waterfalls is the rock formations that take place from the water erosion and force.  They are amazing and part of what draws me to the river for "photographic therapy".
This particular spot was in between where I was and where I wanted to be. There was a neat small cascade behind these grouping of rocks that presented a photo-op with reflections and green moss and all of the wonderful things I love to shoot. As I was traversing the stream I noticed the way the water flowed over these rocks and how it looks like the collection was trying it's best to dam up the water way. If you look on the upper left you will see 3 rocks stacked on top of each other that looked just like shells and fit together perfect.
As you can tell the damming effort was fruitless as the river just kept flowing on rapidly. It sure did stop me in my tracks on my trip across to the other cascade. It actually even presented the better photo-op.
